This 6 year old papered bay mare is our most trustworthy horse, with her gentle heart, and smartness we know we can just throw a saddle on and go. She’s a great horse to take up in the mountains chasing cattle on long days, or just a simple trail ride for fun. This mare is gentle to shoe, and patient while saddling. We have calved on this mare for few years in the winter, we have also drug a lot of calves to the fire on her. She’s been starting on the heading side, can rope steers out of the box. Done a lot of doctoring in any kind of weather. Been started on the barrel pattern, with the potential to grow so much. Trigger stands 14.3h / 1150 lbs. He is coming 5 and has his whole life ahead of him. His breeding includes cowboy drift and white lightning ike to name a few. He has a beautiful dark bay roan color. He has good black feet and strait legs. This is a good all around family horse. We have packed on him a lot in the mountains. He neck reins and side passes well. Has a nice headset. We have also done ranch work on him. You can hobble him with no issues. Trailers well alone or with other horses. He does well being turned out with other horses. Trigger will cross logs, bogs and creeks with ease. You can swing a rope on him. You can pony other horses off of him. He stands tied well. We have had him around 4 wheelers, dogs, and kids. “Cochise” stands 16 h/1250 lbs. 5 year old registered AQHA. Absolute best disposition. All around family horse from grandma to grandkids, from sorting to babysitting. He has a beautiful unique blue roan grulla tri-color. He has good black feet and strait legs. Heavy boned. Good to shoe. We have packed on him a lot in the mountains. We have even had little kids ride on top off the pack saddles in a halter. He neck reins and side passes well. Has a good stop. Open and closes gates. Has a great headset. Done all aspects of ranch work. We have sorted on him in the sorting pen with a war bridle. You can hobble him with no issues. Trailers well alone or with other horses. He does well being turned out with other horses. Crosses water well. You can rope on him. We have shot guns off of him. Can pony other horses. You can lay him off and get right back on, no problem. We bought this young registered red dun gelding after last year’s Sale to resolve an issue with his registration papers. That is cleared up now. He was started but not finished. We sent him to Garrett Godfrey to ride on the Ranches at Carmen for two months. Got a lot of BLM range riding and miles. Will be started back up this March 1st to get ready for the Sale. Pecos is a 7 year old thoroughbred draft cross gelding at 16 hands and about 1300 lbs. Pecos has done the in and outs of every aspect on the mountain. From cowboy work in the branding pen to the mountain trails guiding elk hunts he’s calm in any situation. He has packed elk meat and horns in the nastiest country Hells Canyon has to offer and is so trusting to get along with. Pecos has been rode extensively through some of the steepest country the Salmon and Snake River country has and exceeded all expectations throughout the years. He is tough! His mind is willing to learn at anything new you ask of him. He is gentle and kind to ride down the trail or if you ask to go out and long trot all day gathering cattle he is your horse. The man who raised them used them on farm equipment to plow, harrow and rake hay. When we bought them they were using them for stagecoach rides in Medora, ND. They have also been ranch ridden in rough country through cattle. They will cross water and deadfall. Bill and Betty have been ridden separately as well. Bill has more cattle and single driving experience but Betty is very willing and sweet. They are big and beautiful. These are stout horses that can travel well. They are a gorgeous young team. Captain is an 11-year- old 15.1 hand grade quarter horse bay gelding. He is very well built with a nice hip and head. Captain is extremely gentle and broke. He is soft in his sides and super responsive. He has a great turn-around and back. He is willing and safe. Captain stands to get on and off. He is easy to catch and really likes people. He has a super comfortable great walk, and a good trot and lope. He is a seasoned Montana ranch horse and has been roped on outside and will watch a cow. He has been driven single on a cart. Captain is easy to catch, saddle, bridle, and shoe. We rode him in the Livingston Roundup Parade and all the floats, bands, fire engines and clowns and thousands of spectators on the street didn’t bother him a bit. We took him to our wilderness camp in the mountains and he crosses water, logs, and bridges with ease. He will gladly lead, follow, or ride alone. He gets along with all the mares, mules, and geldings and winters out well on grass. He has great manners and doesn’t get herdbound. Captain is a really kind horse that we feel would make a great kids or 4H horse and they could learn safely on him. Anyone would enjoy riding this versatile multi-talented sweet family horse.
