Pecos is a 7 year old thoroughbred draft cross gelding at 16 hands and about 1300 lbs. Pecos has done the in and outs of every aspect on the mountain. From cowboy work in the branding pen to the mountain trails guiding elk hunts he’s calm in any situation. He has packed elk meat and horns in the nastiest country Hells Canyon has to offer and is so trusting to get along with. Pecos has been rode extensively through some of the steepest country the Salmon and Snake River country has and exceeded all expectations throughout the years. He is tough! His mind is willing to learn at anything new you ask of him. He is gentle and kind to ride down the trail or if you ask to go out and long trot all day gathering cattle he is your horse. Description: 5 YEAR OLD 16 HH, BAY MARE 2021

Betty is a five year old 16 hand full sister to lot 85 Bill.  They are Percheron/quarter cross and very well-matched.  They are both broke to drive single and double and ride.  The man who raised them used them on farm equipment to plow, harrow and rake hay.  When we bought them they were using them for stagecoach rides in Medora, ND.  They have also been ranch ridden in rough country through cattle. They will cross water and deadfall.  Bill and Betty have been ridden separately as well.  Bill has more cattle and single driving experience but Betty is very willing and sweet.  They are big and beautiful.  These are stout horses that can travel well. They are a gorgeous young team. We would like to keep them together, but will sell them choice.  They are current on vaccinations, wormer, and Coggins. Description: 11 YEAR OLD QH GELDING

Captain is an 11-year- old 15.1 hand grade quarter horse bay gelding. He is very well built with a nice hip and head.  Captain is extremely gentle and broke.  He is soft in his sides and super responsive.  He has a great turn-around and back.  He is willing and safe.  Captain stands to get on and off.  He is easy to catch and really likes people. He has a super comfortable great walk, and a good trot and lope.  He is a seasoned Montana ranch horse and has been roped on outside and will watch a cow.  He has been driven single on a cart.  Captain is easy to catch, saddle, bridle, and shoe. We rode him in the Livingston Roundup Parade and all the floats, bands, fire engines and clowns and thousands of spectators on the street didn’t bother him a bit.  We took him to our wilderness camp in the mountains and he crosses water, logs, and bridges with ease.  He will gladly lead, follow, or ride alone. He gets along with all the mares, mules, and geldings and winters out well on grass.  He has great manners and doesn’t get herdbound.  Captain is a really kind horse that we feel would make a great kids or 4H horse and they could learn safely on him. Anyone would enjoy riding this versatile multi-talented sweet family horse.  Captain has unique amber-colored eyes that make him a distinctive good-looking gelding.  He is current on vaccinations, wormer, and Coggins. Description: 6 YEAR OLD SORREL GELDING

Jagger is such an asset to have around. Jagger is kind hearted and ready to go to bat for whoever is on his back. He’s a true ranch horse that will drag anything you’re man enough to rope. Jagger has been started in the roping pen, worked at the cattle sales, been on big cattle drives, and seen big rough country and he’s sure footed with no quit.  This horse will cross anything you put in front of him and ask him to go over. Jagger has a real nice handle, one hand neck rein. Will side pass to open and shut gates, lopes pretty circles. My wife has really taken to him and has claimed him as her own. She’s had a lot of fun patterning him on the barrels and he’s really taking to it but don’t look away if you despise a barrel horse because if you walk into an arena with or without barrels and he will keep his same sane, quiet demeanor regardless. Jagger will also ride english and has gone over some jumps. He’s not hot or pushy, and he will saddle up quiet with time off. He has zero buck.
