Melrose spent the summer in the Bob Marshall and Great Bear wilderness packing and riding. She travels comfortably and will pack everything including my 12 year old daughters first bull which I loaded with her untied! She’s been ridden by novices several times and has always taken great care of them! Melrose is great with her ears and can go shod or barefoot! Easy to catch and will hobble or high line. Holstein is a beautiful 14.3 hand twelve-year-old black molly mule with four white stockings and a big splash of color by her tail. She’s gentle and she’s distinctive! Holstein is good to catch and loves people – and hay cubes! Holstein is a very comfortable traveling mule. She is super willing and has a very nice neck rein and stop. She can really walk if you ask, with a very comfortable stride. Holstein is independent and will ride alone or in a group. She will stand still for mounting and dismounting. Holstein is good to shoe, bridle and saddle and hobble. She likes to have her ears scratched. She is a medium built mule with a great wither. You can ride her with either a crupper or a britchen. Holstein jumps right in the trailer. She also is a sensible pack mule. Holstein has a great trot and lope and will stop and stand when asked.
She could be a good ranch mule with her handle and attitude, but we have used her as a trail mule. She is used to dogs running around her. Holstein has a sweet demeanor and wants to please. This 12-year-old, 14 hand dark bay molly rides soft and collected on a loose rein as well as a direct rein. She travels out with a smooth, nice paced walk. She has rode in the Red Rock deserts of Nevada, and up to the rugged peaks of Idaho and Utah. Daisy comes with a well-built conformation that is hard to find in a smaller sized mule. Her well-built wither will support most saddles, holding it in place for ease and comfort. Daisy has a cute head and soft eye that really sets her apart and gives away her sweet disposition. Her correct build accompanied with her soft reining ability make her the perfect companion for a mid-sized rider. This girl stands well to bridle, saddle and shoe. She executes her leg cues while staying soft on the bit making her an easy-going mule that is a pleasure to ride.
