  • LOT 013 SALLEE’S CANDACE

    Consignor Since: 2002

Owner: BLACK MOUNTAIN OUTFITTERS, SCOTT & SANDY SALLEE OF EMIGRANT, MONTANA

Description: 9 YEAR OLD, 15.1 HH, BLACK MOLLY

Candace is a very beautiful people-loving 9-year old 15.1 hand black molly mule.  We bought her when she was three years old from our teen-aged friend who had started her on cattle and arena work.  We took her riding in the slick red rocks and slot canyons in southern Utah and she was amazing.  We have used her in our wilderness outfitting business north of Yellowstone Park every season since then.  Candace will go where you point her with a very smooth comfortable walk.  She has been packed extensively and led the pack string for hundreds of miles in Montana and Wyoming.  She is picket and hobble broke and has traveled up the mountain daylight and dark.  She will ride with the group or alone, and gets along wherever she is kept.  She is used to hot wire and being pastured out for months on grass and always thrives.  She has a gorgeous head and neck and great wither.  Candace has been Scott’s personal mule and only he and I and a couple of our guides have ridden her.  She is soft and broke.  She will stand to get on and off and catch you in the pasture.  Candace loves attention.  She is easy to shoe and has good hard black feet.  She likes her ears scratched and is easy to bridle. She has been ridden thousands of mountain miles with either a crupper or a britching.  Candace is responsive and will not be suitable for a novice and we have never had guests ride her; but she will be a ton of fun for someone who rides and likes to cover country on backcountry trails. She is easy to vaccinate, worm, and Coggins and is current on all.  For more info call (406)222-7455, text (406)223-8380 email blackmtn2@aol.com
