Description: 6 YR OLD 16.1 HH BAY GELDING

Dave is as fancy as they make draft cross gelding! At 6 years old and 16.1 he has beautiful long legs, nice withers, an attractive head and keen ears. He’s got all the look and presence you can ask for! But as attractive as he looks his training is just as eye opening! Dave has done all the light ranch chores and is good at them! He’s worked cattle, gathered pastures, pen backed at the sale barn, and done a little bit of roping. Dave is great on the trail and crosses bridges, water, logs, brush, and ditches. Dave has a confident walk out and will gladly lead the pack or hang back for beverage and visiting enjoyment.  Dave has also been drove on the wagon, mostly in a team but recently has started pulling the single buggy too. Dave will lope circles on either lead and has an easy way about him. He has the athleticism that dreams are made of and goals are achieved with. He has a big stop and a solid turn around as well. He works well off your legs, feet, and seat and enjoys a day’s work or a leisure ride. Dave’s movement is free and easy, smooth as butter, and as pretty as any cow bred or western pleasure quarter horse.Dave has good ground manners and stands tied nicely, is good with his feet, saddles, bridles, loads, leads, and bathes nicely. Dave has played in the jumping and English rings. He would be a natural for the Foxhunting field or even three-day eventing.Dave will side passes to the mounting block or fence for easy mounting. He’s good around dogs as well as the circus toys. He plays with the ball, will pull a log, and track the heelomatic. Dave is up to date on dental, vaccinations, chiropractic care, hoof care, and worming. Dave will also sell with our optional two-day clinic at our home facility in Baxter Springs, Kansas in addition to a comprehensive manual on Dave’s cues, habits, and health information.
