Description: 11 YEAR OLD PALOMINO GELDING
Slicker is a 11-year-old AQHA Palomino gelding standing 14.3 hands tall. This guy is fancy. He is a finished reiner that has been shown in the NRHA and is also a finished head and heel horse that has won money on both ends. Competing in multiple ranch rodeo events, he placed first and second at “The Richest Ranch Rodeo” in Missouri, earning a total of $53,000.
He is push-button broke in every way. Slicker lopes flawless circles with or without a bridle, has flying lead changes, great spins, and big stops. He has also been used extensively on the ranch, handling all the different chores. He is great to sort cows on and really watches a cow. He has drug hundreds of calves to the branding fire and will pull hard from the saddle horn. He walks out with purpose and handles all obstacles with ease.
He is trained to let you mount easily from a fence, step, or mounting block. Just smooch to him and he will sidestep over to make it easy to get on. He is very friendly and gentle in every way. Easy to catch, even in a big field — just holler and he will come trotting to you.
This is one of our favorite horses and is loved by everyone around here. He is the perfect handy size to do most any job and is easy to get on and off. Loads in the trailer easily and backs out like a gentleman. Easy to bathe and shoe. Slicker has no bad habits and is a pleasure to be around. He has lots of personality and is easy to fall in love with. He is stout made with good bone and foot.
Whether you want to go show in the reining, head or heel at jackpots on the weekend, compete in ranch rodeos, or take him back to the ranch, you will be riding one of the nicest, best-broke horses you could ever throw a leg over.
