“Ellie” is a gorgeous buttermilk buckskin mare. This is a very talented mare, backed by an extremely kind disposition. We have used her for all aspects of ranch work, in all kinds of terrain. Deep snow, soggy bottom ground, hard rock and shale, she travels through it all with ease and knows her feet. “Ellie” has handled numerous amounts of cattle, whether that’s sorting, doctoring, gathering, branding, etc. If you are looking for a ranch versatility horse to have fun on the weekends, “Ellie” is your girl! In addition to ranch work she has been used as a vital piece of our breeding program. She has helped us pony colts, halter break foals, gather and trail broodmare bands, etc. Before coming to us, “Ellie” was a youth flag horse, and this winter, our number one pulling horse when the kids wanted to sled. A true family mare! She takes everything in stride. We have heavily considered retaining her as a broodmare for our program, we know her bloodlines well and they have never failed us. “Ellie” stands 15h and weighs 1100 lbs.
