What about one as needy as your old college girlfriend? If you answered yes to any of these, we’ve got the one for you! Meet Clarbelle, this 5 year old Molly mule will be like your new shadow. She stands 14 hh and is as gentle as one comes. She is one that has more character and personality than a Hollywood sitcom. Always wanting to have her rear end scratched and if you stop she will remind you as to what you’re supposed to be doing. Clarbelle rides and packs and isn’t any better at one over the other she is great at both. If you have a load of stuff to pack and don’t want to have to pony one just kick her loose and whistle, she’ll come running. I’ve used her in the mountains dragging pex pipe for the ranches in southern Arizona. She’s packed hundreds of t-post and staves, packed in hunting camps and meat packed out on her. Clarbelle has worked in the back pens of the sale barns, drug calves to the fire and strutted her stuff in big parades. If you want one that’ll out walk the wind and be smoother than butter she’s your girl. Clarbelle has been a ranch favorite from the day she stepped on the place. (TC) even gives her treats that’s how special she is. When we first got her she was kinda funny about her feet with time she has gotten tons better. “Big Roy” is a little mule with a big heart and a friendly personality. This cute little guy has been rode by all level of riders. We have used him in all aspects of ranching, branding, doctoring, checking fences, even roping our big ornery Jersey bull. This little dude has proven to pull his weight here around the ranch. Big Roy stands good to saddle, bridle, shoe, bathe, mount, dismount, etc. He is the mount I/we most trusted last hunting season and my mom rode him in the back country. Later on he packed some Eastern guys on a few elk hunts including a 78 year old gentleman. He is a pleasure in camp whether riding or packing, in fact after loosing a pack mule he packed out the meat and antlers of two bulls for 20 miles. He has seen lots of country from the swamps of Minnesota to the high country of the Wind Rivers, to the rolling Meadows of the Big Horns, to the beautiful back country in the Frank Church. In the arena you can count on Big Roy to get you noticed. He has a pretty lope, knows his leads, has a great stop, spin, side pass, backs up and is soft in his mouth. We bought Big Roy as a two year old from a guy outside of Salmon and have trained and owned him continuously since then. He has proven to saddle up with no humping, bucking or funny business after being off duty for a couple months. Cute little “Big Roy” is a favorite and one we are proud to bring back to Salmon.
