Shortstack is salt of the earth! He’s gentle as they come and broke for anyone. Not to mention he’s completely unique and beautiful! He is a complete saint and genuinely gentle and kind. He stands a perfect 15 hands and there isn’t much under the sun he hasn’t done. Shortstack has been around cattle and done lots of light ranch chores. He’s gathered cattle from pastures, sorted in alley ways, and pen backed cattle at the sale barn. He is a fantastic trail mule and is confident over brush, logs, water, bridges, ditches, and hills. He is confident alone or in a group. He will happily set the pace or hang out in the back. Shortstack loves a good party trick and is good with the tarp, leaf blower, bull whip, and yoga ball. Shortstack will also pack a flag. He has a big walkout, pretty trot, and smooth lope. Shortstack rides bareback and will side pass up to the mounting block for easy mounting. Shortstack has great ground manners. He leads, loads, ties, saddle, bridles, and shoes with ease. He loves a good ear scratch and he’s great to catch. Shortstack is up to date on dental, vaccinations, chiropractic care, hoof care, and worming. A socks is a 5 year old, deep sorrel red John mule with four high white stockings. A STYLISH fella! He is 14.1 H and weighs 1100#. Socks is a riding mule with an exceptional handle. Opens and closed gates, moves off leg pressure. Been used in the feedlot so he’s got nice forward motion and is used to pressure. Handles new situations well. Nice one handed turnaround and a good stop. He has been lightly packed. Socks is really a good looking mule with his striking color and white legs-really a show stopper. Duke is a 16 Hand 7 year old black John Mule. He has a long stride and likes to travel out front at a good pace. He is well broke with many trail miles in both the Bob Marshall and Lee Metcalf Wilderness. He is both a riding mule and a good packer. He has a great set of withers and doesn’t need a crupper or britchen to be ridden in rough country. Watch the video to see how he handled the pack bridge in the Bob.
