Dinero is a 12 yr old bay roan grade quarter horse gelding that stands 15 hands and is stout made. This is one very gentle and extra broke to ride finished Ranch horse gelding that the whole family can ride. He has done everything you can do on the ranch, including lots of Alley sorting, and will not let a cow get by him. He will work off your legs and is very handy. Really reads cattle well. Been roped off of and has doctored hundreds of them over his years. You can go down your rope to doctor and he’ll keep things tight. Great in the branding pen and always keeps his cool. Very gentle for most anybody that knows how to ride. He lopes pretty circles, easily picking up his leads. Will spin both directions correctly and has a big stop. This guy has also spent many miles trail riding and exploring the mountains. He is trained to side step up to a mounting block or fence and make it easier to get on. This is one of my favorite horses to get a job done on. He is definitely our go to guy when you’ve got a cow job that needs done. He has zero buck in him and can be laid off. Easy to catch and will step in the trailer, stand quiet, and back out like a gentleman. He has been to Ranch rodeos and team penning and sorting’s. He walks out well and is not spooky. Very confident and capable horse. He has no bad habits and is very quiet to be around on the ground. He is used to dogs and kids and the commotion of Ranch life. Traffic safe. You can catch him wherever you leave him without any effort. He is trained to let you get on and off from a step or mounting block—simply smooch to him and he will sidestep over to make it easy. He has absolutely no buck or meanness in him at all. He is the kind you can lay off as long as you want, then catch up and ride off just like you left him. This is a rare horse to come across with his excellent disposition and incredible resume. He has no bad habits or vices. He trailers wonderfully, stands great for the farrier, and is easy to bathe and be around. You can wrap a bridle rein around the rail and leave him for hours, and he will stand there quietly. Slicker is a 11-year-old AQHA Palomino gelding standing 14.3 hands tall. This guy is fancy. He is a finished reiner that has been shown in the NRHA and is also a finished head and heel horse that has won money on both ends. Competing in multiple ranch rodeo events, he placed first and second at “The Richest Ranch Rodeo” in Missouri, earning a total of $53,000.
He is push-button broke in every way. Slicker lopes flawless circles with or without a bridle, has flying lead changes, great spins, and big stops. He has also been used extensively on the ranch, handling all the different chores. He is great to sort cows on and really watches a cow. He has drug hundreds of calves to the branding fire and will pull hard from the saddle horn. He walks out with purpose and handles all obstacles with ease.
He is trained to let you mount easily from a fence, step, or mounting block. Just smooch to him and he will sidestep over to make it easy to get on. He is very friendly and gentle in every way. Easy to catch, even in a big field — just holler and he will come trotting to you.
This is one of our favorite horses and is loved by everyone around here. He is the perfect handy size to do most any job and is easy to get on and off. Loads in the trailer easily and backs out like a gentleman. Easy to bathe and shoe. Slicker has no bad habits and is a pleasure to be around.
