machine. I purchased him from a well-known Arizona ranch family. Their horses are highly
regarded as tough, sensible and smart. Raider has seen many long days gathering wild cattle,
and he has completed “Spirit Rides” that test a horse’s endurance and strength. I have enjoyed
riding this gelding on the desert trails and in the Prescott National Forest. He is well suited for a
serious back country rider who needs a no maintenance, no nonsense, no trail too steep type
gelding. He is not an “in your pocket, eat out of your hand” type horse but, he can walk out and
long trot all day, goes barefoot, and is an easy keeper. We will be working on arena skills until

Rowdy is one of our home grown gypsy vanners. He stands 14.3 and weighs 1310 lbs. He was as sweet as they come as a baby and has not changed. He is a well rounded individual with a big heart. He is black with 4 white socks and a blaze – so really striking to look at. We have done all the training on this gelding since he was just a couple days old until sale time. He has been used in the back country, packing, leading packs strings, wrangling in the horses and up and down the trails a bunch. He has been ridden by various levels of riders and does well taking care of everyone. He has been used on the ranch sorting, gathering, checking cows and he has been roped off. You can point him in any direction and he will head off whether it’s up a steep hill or mountain, down a creek, through down timber, across a bridge or just out in the open. We have done training in the arena so he is used to being ridden indoors as well. We started driving him fall of 2025 and he pulled the Surry like a pro. No issues there. We will continue to drive him until sale time. He has the quiet disposition of the gypsy vanner breed and enough ability to get any job done. He is a great gelding to be around and handle.
