6 year old flashy bay gelding, guaranteed to draw attention. He is very broke and WILL handle. This horse is not for a beginner or novice rider- he has the edge of any great competition horse and can get nervous because he is still young and full of excess energy. Not to the point yet where he can sit for a month and go straight to town, but is close. He has been our “go-to” for about a year now and has done just about everything. He has been used on the ranch, is a dream to brand on, lives in the feedlot, and has seen about 200 steers in the roping arena as well. Gather cows, sort pairs, doctor and load yearlings, head/heel, break away, pull sick animals in the feedlot, and get gates with ease. He is about 85% a finished bridle horse with a good stop and decent spin. Loads, ties, and stands great on the fronts and fair on the backs for the farrier. This little horse knows NO quit, has a big heart and will make someone a great prospect to go any direction and I do mean “any” as he takes every new task in stride. 12 year old shiny black horse that has seen a million miles and that many or more left to go. This horse is gentle and forgiving to his rider, has “seen it and done it” all from ranch work to feedlot to ranch rodeo. He has been a daily user for us and will continue to be a daily user for someone else. This horse does not mind doing any job and is a total sweetheart who loves to please. Branding’s, rope and doctor, sorting inside and outside, has taken the big circle countless times. This horse is one of the toughest horses we’ve ever owned. He has a vertical crack on his left front hoof wall from old injury when he was younger, but has had it for years and has never bothered him- with a little corrective shoeing this will mostly go away and already has started to since we’ve been doing it. Recently we have been using him as a practice rope horse on both ends head or heel however, is more suited for the head side. FMI call 208-812-2984.

Out of AQHA stock but sells grade.  Raised on a big TX ranch and sired by a good cow bred stallion.  Maverik stands 15.2 and will weigh at least 1250#.  Course boned with a big frame and will wear a #1 shoe.  Maverik is a gentle natured gelding with a good work ethic.  He has done all the basic ranch jobs, moved cows, covered a million miles outside checking fence and wells, packed salt, branded calves, etc.   He is kind to be around, polite to shoe, bath, stands tied quiet, loads in any type of trailer, and has a willing disposition.  He is a pleasure to ride in the mountains and will be a great partner for the weekend trail rider.
