    Pecos is a 7 year old thoroughbred draft cross gelding at 16 hands and about 1300 lbs. Pecos has done the in and outs of every aspect on the mountain. From cowboy work in the branding pen to the mountain trails guiding elk hunts he’s calm in any situation. He has packed elk meat and horns in the nastiest country Hells Canyon has to offer and is so trusting to get along with. Pecos has been rode extensively through some of the steepest country the Salmon and Snake River country has and exceeded all expectations throughout the years. He is tough! His mind is willing to learn at anything new you ask of him. He is gentle and kind to ride down the trail or if you ask to go out and long trot all day gathering cattle he is your horse. We have gathered cows in the mountains on him. He has been in the branding pen and the feedlot. He can handle really anything that comes his way, even in a tight situation.
